ice-fishing

On a cold, windy Saturday, my Dad, two youngest siblings  and I went ice-fishing! We went to Legend Lake, and although we didn't catch any pan-fish (we did have a few flags, though) had fun.

Uncle Jonathan and I went looking for muskrats (seeing he traps them) for a while, then I got to drive his truck back to our "fishing location". :D

The Photographer, Photoshoot and Assistant

The Photographer: Jeremy Pyatskowit, (also known as my uncle) is a very talented, professional photographer.

The Photoshoot: The subjects of the photoshoot, was a family of four. (Two darling, little boys and of course, their parents).  Quinn was so cute. The shoot took place in their house, in front of their fire-place hearth, which was decorated with ornaments and stockings.

The assistant: That was, uh, me.  Uncle Jeremy had kindly invited me to come along, and be his assistant at one of his photoshoots.  (To be sure, I was thrilled) I set up flashes/deflectors, moved the deflectors/flash, held up a deflector, and tried to keep the kids attention on moi Uncle/camera.

Happenings: I got to Uncle Jeremy's, he showed/explained to me how to use the flashes and tripods.  Then, seeing we had a while before we left, we talked about cameras, photography and pricing. (Very educational, if you ask me!) We loaded everything into the car and went to their house.  When we arrived, I "helped" Uncle Jeremy set up.  Uncle Jeremy did a great job, included the kids (and not just in the photos!) and of course, took some awesome photos! I would occasional reset a flash, or held up a deflector. :) I had lots of fun!

Thanks so much, Uncle Jeremy!

November Love

I'm linking up with Nina(again at November Sunshine), so here goes!

I enjoy the "Fall-ier" type months because of the beautiful colors:

But yet I really like to wear sweaters with buttons. :))

Sitting in front of a fire, reading a good book...

*not my photo*

Watching the leaves fall, in the "golden light".

Then of course there's baking, and cookie making!

My...Makings...

Hello peoples, how are you doing this fine August day? :-)

So I found a pair of Isaac's old jeans, and decided to make a skirt out of them, so I...cut of the legs, added some flowery material, a ruffle, a belt and eureka!

( those lines aren't on the skirt, it's just that picture.)

{{ We're Going to Kings Island }}

Read the title, that's where we're going...Bland, eh?  Okay, ya'll might ask wwwhhhaaaaa, is King's Island?" So, I'll explain, with words and pictures. :)

This Wednesday, after Dad gets home from work,  we're leaving for Ohio. --Some of my mom's family live there, and we're going to visit them et cetra, AND go to this King's Island.

About KI, okaayyy.  King's Island is a roller coaster/amusement park! :) It looks like they have some killer rides, complete with big drops, and lots of thrill, like below:

Pictured above, is "the Beast"

Then there are others that go, upsidedown....Like the Vortex

Then another has very ""laarrrrgggeee"" drops.  Pictured below: the Diamond Back

Yeah...below is the Drop Tower. From their website: Feel your heart drop when you plunge a staggering 26 stories from a height of 315 feet straight down at a speed of 67 miles per hour on the tallest Gyro drop in the world!

 Below is the Firehawk

Note: All pictures were taken from the www.visitkingsisland.com website.

Those are some of the "bigger thrill rides".  They of course, have others....ya'know.

I'm quite excited to go! :) We might take one or a few of our cousins...maybe, ya never know.

Have a "thrilling" week!
