In the Kitchen: Molasses Cookies

I have been "dying" for some good molasses cookies, since Mom bought a jar of  molasses.  So, away to the shelf of cookbooks, to find a good recipe.  After looking at several recipes I found this one!  I made them, and they taste REALLY good. : ) Here's the recipe:
Molasses Cookies:

3/4 cup of shortening (I used butter)
1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of molasses
1 egg
2 tsp. baking soda
2. cups of flour
1/2 tsp. of cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix all ingredients. Roll in to a ball. Dip in sugar and place on a greased cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.  *NOTE: when the cookies come out of the oven, they are really soft, but they harden while cooling.*

:) Enjoy!
