fifteen

Everyone loves birthdays. //The time spent with friends at a coffee shop (it's become a tradition with a few of my close friends). //Little brothers and sisters excitedly crowding 'round to "help" open presents or blow out candles. //A special meal - planned by the honored person. //Sweet cards and letters.

Yesterday I turned fifteen, and I'll admit that I have been looking forward to achieving the status of this most "coveted age".  Fifteen seems so...exciting. A year boasting of new experiences and happenings. (Drivers Ed., and drivers permit, anyone?)  But, as my siblings and I have grown older, I've come to realize how special those "younger years" were. As jobs have been acquired and new drivers have been added to the family, and these changes have taken place, I've come to appreciate the time spent together as a family...the memories made with siblings...to count my many blessings, and appreciate all that God has given me.

fifteen << a year to count my blessings

fifteen << the year that I begin Drivers Ed.

fifteen << a year of so many possibilities

fifteen << the year of summer job opportunities

fifteen << a year to appreciate and spend time with family

fifteen << a year to take more pictures

fifteen << a year for cookbook reading and de cuisine

fifteen << a year to be a light for Christ
