An Anne (with an "e"!) Inspired Tea

The past few months I've been reading through the Anne of Green Gables Series...the books are amazing. :) But anyway, we decided to host an "Anne of Green Gables Tea" this month for some friends.

We wanted to create an-as-realistic-as-possible tea like those given in the accounts of Anne of Green Gables book(s).  We set our table with a rose tea set, because Marilla served tea with a set of like pattern when Anne came home from college. --We also went with a pink theme as it was Anne's favorite color. :)

And we made plum puffs! This was my first time making Pâte à Choux, and I think it turned out very well. By reading the "Anne of Green Gables Treasury" and other online sources, we found that a plum puff is simply a homemade cream puff with plum preserves...and very tasty!

I had a lot of fun planning the tea and making the "dainty bites", and we had a lovely time with our guests!

But, pictures are always more fun, so I'll give you a look into our tea as well as a peak at the menu. Enjoy!

Looks so lovely and delicious, Kara! Do you cater for play practices? Because that would be perfect for this year's musical! ; )

Looks amazing! It reminds me of all our (probably not very dignified) tea-parties of the past. :D
